the walk of freedom

Recently, I watched a movie 'The pianist' falling under genre war/drama and was so thrilled by the main lead, Adrien Brody, who gave his whole soul to the character, depicting it so well. As an audience even now, while reminiscing the scenes, it makes me elated. Not giving out any spoilers but at the end, the walk of returning after years of mental trauma was so captivating. Next stop of cinema is 'Queen', a Bollywood film, full of comedy and real-life happenings, the character Rani potrayed by Kangana Ranaut and the details associated with her from her rollercoaster ride to the ride of liberty is a must watch for me. 'Bulbbul' also an Indian cinema, I guess a little underrated movie under the genre of horror/thriller was a wonderful pick. The transition of various social happenings to destructing unpleasant norms by the main lead 'Bulbbul' depicted by Tripti Dmitri was a bliss to witness. new beginnings?

So, its 30th of Chaitra, the last day of 2079 and 2 hours left for a brand-new year. Being Nepalese and belonging to the Newari community, we have like three new years' coming along our way -English, Nepali and Newari (Nhu daya vintu na). So sarcastically, for some of these lazy bones we can always have our resolutions ready and if not in practice, patiently wait for few months and yes again a fresh new chance to redo the written decisions. Sounds not a big deal for us and yes, after all it is an expansion of this modern-day struggle-procrastination. Okay so, why do we make certain resolution? Well, the answer that my first row of brain cells got is that- the first day of a new year is considered to be a "shubha din" or a good day to start new beginnings and there will be possibility for the continuation of good work ahead.
